Medical Services for everyone

The Three Phases of Care

Pain Relief Phase:
Our initial goal is to relieve the patient’s pain as soon as possible using chiropractic techniques and physiotherapeutic methods and procedures.

Corrective/Rehabilitative Phase:
During this phase, tight muscles are stretched, weak muscles are strengthened, and flexibility is increased. Chiropractic adjustments help to re-align the spine. Home exercise prescriptions are provided.

Preventive/Maintenance Phase:

Patients are given periodic evaluation and treatment based on activity level, lifestyle, and needs to prevent further injury and maintain health.

How long you decide to benefit from Chiropractic Care is always up to you!

Chiropractic Overview

Your brain controls every function of your body, sending signals through your spinal cord throughout your entire system. As Doctors of Chiropractic, we focus our care on maximizing the function of the whole body without the use of drugs or surgery. By concentrating our care on helping the brain and spinal cord carry all of their signals properly to the rest of the body, we are able to offer an alternative method of treating certain disorders.

Nutrition

We believe Wellness is a lifestyle of balance. The nutritional and lifestyle choices you make effect the balance in every aspect of your life; your diet, sleep patterns, exercise habits, mental attitude, social skills and spiritual life.

To begin achieving balance in all these areas you must first start with a healthy nervous system and natural diet. Since your nervous system controls the function of every other system in your body and is nurtured by the food you eat, be sure to care for it properly.

Roller Table

Have you tried our Roller Table? At times when people experience pain, they adjust the way they walk or the way they sit to alleviate that pain. If the pain is persistent, and the adjusting behavior continues, the muscles and spine can eventually contort, further exacerbating the patient’s pain. By using a roller table, muscles and the spine are stretched, so to speak, in unison across the body, potentially helping to restore normal posture.

Massage

Chiropractic massage is an excellent method for improving overall health and musculoskeletal efficiency. Massage has a number of beneficial effects on the body and the mind. Some of these include removal of toxins that can build up in the muscles of the body, increased circulation, and increased flexibility in not only the muscles, but also the connective tissue within the body.

Chiropractic Care & Kids

Addressing the health needs of your growing children through natural chiropractic health care. Very gentle techniques are used to treat infants and children. I use my thumbs, pinky and index fingers to adjust infants and small children. The amount of force used to adjust an infant is comparable to the amount of force you use to test a ripe tomato at the grocery store.

Chiropractic Care & Pregnancy

Addressing the health needs of pregnant women through natural chiropractic health care. During pregnancy, there are several physiological and endocrinological changes that occur in preparation for creating the environment for the developing baby. Establishing pelvic balance and alignment is another reason to obtain chiropractic care during pregnancy.

Sacro Occipital Technique

SOT stands for Sacro Occipital Technique (or Technic). “Sacro” means “related to, or associated with,” the sacrum. The sacrum is the foundation for the spine. The sacrum is often called the tail bone though this is not exactly correct. “Occipital” means “related to or associated with the occiput. Occiput means “the back of the head”. So, SOT is a method of normalizing the relationship between the foundation of the spine and the top of the spine. It is this relationship and how these two bones get along with one another, that has been proven to be so important in the normal functioning of the brain and spinal cord. The word “Technic” is another way of spelling “technique”. Either word means “the way to get the job done, scientifically and in a short period of time”.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical stimulation units use an electrical current to simulate the same electrical impulses that are activated during normal exercise. By passively activating the muscle, the body responds in much the same way as during normal exercise. By placing a pair of electrodes on the target muscle or muscle group, the unit can send electrical impulses through the skin to underlying nerves, stimulating the contraction and relaxation of the muscle in a rhythm similar to daily exercise. Electrical Stimulation can be used for two primary functions; strength training and muscle tone or pain control.
